This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Kirsty and Jon’s wedding at the Royal Berkshire Hotel in Ascot! The day started out at a gorgeous home where all of the bridesmaid’s were hands on and very welcoming to me. I got stuck in to mingling in amongst them and would like to thank them for all the lovely tea and to Hannah for her kind words of “I feel like I know you already” after only an hour of us meeting! With everyone busy getting ready a gift from the Groom arrived to the house which brought tears to Kirsty’s eyes! It was such a touching moment and you can really see how much they love each other! Jon’s gifts were so thoughtful!

After a short ride to a wonderful church we were blessed with a beautiful service with a upbeat and enlightening Vicar! The service was also no exception to the emotional moments as Kirsty had to hold it together during her vows, but she did! We were eventually sent on our way by the Vicar who encouraged us to party and celebrate this marriage of love!

The Royal Berkshire Hotel did an outstanding job of hosting. The staff were all lovely, welcoming and no request was too much for them! The weather just about held out with the occasional spitting of rain however this did not dampen their spirits. We got some gorgeous shots amongst the grounds of the hotel! Later on the speeches after a early dinner and I have to say the best man’s speech was hysterical! Everyone including myself and my assistant were seen laughing!

We finished up the night with some lovely romantic closing photo’s, a awesome Pixelstick image which is yet to be revealed and group hug from the Kirsty and Jon!

I’d like to extend a special thank you to my wonderful assistant ‘Kate’ from ‘Juniper Green Photography’ who made the day pass smoothly, took some brilliant photo’s and is a joy to work with!

Last week I travelled to Burnham Beeches near Slough for an engagement shoot between Katie & Jamie. We took a lovely walk in this woods complete and like any woodland walk came across all sorts of interesting locations and even some wildlife, a frog which seemed to have strayed a long way from the stream. After returning the frog to the stream we continued our walk and enjoyed some more relaxing natural photos. I’ll be photographing Katie & Jamie’s wedding later on this year. When I was asked to photograph Rebecca and Lucian’s wedding I was delighted. This wonderful mix of English, Romanian and Italian guests made for a wonderful cocktail of nations who despite not being able to speak many of their languages were still all warm and welcoming to each other and myself! With Rebecca’s two super fun and energetic bridesmaids ‘Emma & Loiuse’ to help get Rebecca ready and ensure that nothing went wrong, the day went smoothly. After a warm welcoming from Rebecca’s parents we got down to the bridal prep. I’d like to thank Daphne & Stuart for the endless offerings off coffee and food throughout the morning! After a seamless morning getting Rebecca ready we made our way to the nearby Holy Trinity Church near Reading. There I met up with Lucian and the rest of his family! The service was wonderful with a live choir and plenty of colourful ‘feel good’ songs sang. After they tied the knot we travelled to the nearby Calcot Hotel for the reception. The hotel put on a lovely spread and decorated the room in the most amazing way. There were so many touching moments such as the first dance between Rebecca and her dad and the speeches made in multiple languages. I couldn’t possibly go into them all.

I’d like to thank Vasile as well for offering me a drink in the evening and for everyone else who made me feel welcome!

Recently I was honoured to be asked to capture the evening of a Daughters 18th Birthday party near Gatwick airport. This special birthday marked Emilys transition into a adult but theres always room for fun no matter how old you are! Emily had a fantastic turn out of close friends and school colleagues! I want to thank everyone for making me feel very welcome and being not just the photographer but part of the night and fun!  Happy Birthday Emily!

Today I was at Virginia Water Great Windsor Park to photograph the engagement of Kirsty and Jon. Despite the freezing temperatures it did not stop them showing warmth and affection for each other! Kirsty and Jon really enjoyed themselves and we got some great photos of them off the beaten track. I do love working in the in amongst trees and with a low sun adds all the more intimacy to the photo! After a couple of hours we warmed up with a hot drink in the very venue they’ll be wed in. The venue is beautiful and I really cant wait to get to work with this lovely couple again later this April! With plenty more photos to come, keep an eye on the website.
