Yesterday Lunar Photography captured the marriage of Natalie and Terry who got married in the gorgeous parish church of Windsor. The ceremony was serenaded with some classic Scottish bagpipes which drew the attention of lots of the Windsor tourists! We had the most amazing day and there were surprises not only for the guests, but for the bride and groom as well! After the beautiful ceremony I joined the bride and groom for a short drive up to the ‘mile walk’ where we had a few photos. This was beautiful but nothing compared to what followed! We then went back down to the river in Windsor where we boarded our very own chartered boat for a 2 hour cruise down the river to the Runnymede-on-Thames Hotel. The atmosphere was great with food and drinks flowing, everyone seemed to be having a lovely time as we trundled down the river! Sadly our boat ride did come to a end and we disembarked to find ourselves outside the stunning Runnymede hotel where the rest of the evening was enjoyed! Deep and emotional speeches were heard after the meal and once again Scottish bagpipes were heard around the hotel! After this meal was eaten and the speeches were heard I took Natalie and Terry outside to photograph their closing shot. As we stepped outside of the hotel we noticed to our amazement in the field across the road…a ‘funfair’! There was no way we could let this golden opportunity pass us by so once we captured their closing photo (shown below) we took a short walk across to the funfair and convinced the staff to allow us to enjoy one of the rides for free! Terry and Natalie then enjoyed some time on the dodgems as they bashed and got bashed by other fair-goers! We had so much fun and it really made their day!

A massive congratulations to the new MR & Mrs Everton!

Yesterday Lunar was in Warwick to photograph Melissa (Missy) and Ryan tying the knot at St Mary’s Church in Warwick. The weather was stunning and the venue was staggering. The first thing I recall from the day was this beautiful rainbow of pastel colours that was the bridemaid’s dresses stood outside the church waiting for missy to arrive. It didn’t take me long to realise that this was the colour theme for the day and it transitioned into everything. Even the order of services that were being held by the bridesmaids were in matching colours to their dresses! So much attention to detail! There were smiles and laughter from all the wonderful guests and when Missy arrived she had a smile that could have encircled the earth on her. Seeming a little nervous we held a quick prayer with the Vicar outside the church before going in. What followed was a beautiful service with colourful and cheery songs sun in this staggering venue! After the ceremony the reception was held at ‘The Nags Inn’ at Henley in Arden where a huge pavilion was set up with the pastel colour theming continuing throughout. The atmosphere resembled that of a afternoon BBQ in the back garden filled with family and friends and it was just lovely, watching the sun set over what was a amazing day for this special couple! I had so much fun photographing this one I couldn’t decide on which picture to use as this posts sample, so I have picked two!

So please raise a glass for the new Mr & Mrs Goddard!

It’s not just weddings I photograph. Lunar does pretty much everything including events and recently I teamed up with Emmabelle’s Princess Parties to photograph their team of Disney characters! Not only are they a lovely group of people but their imitations of Disney characters are spot on! I even found myself feeling a little start struck, more so by The Jack Sparrow as he’s my personal favourite! Emmabelle’s Princess Party characters are available for hire for children’s parties, events and weddings. Based in the High Wycombe area but will travel, they can be contacted by clicking here.
Here is a couple of samples of Jack Sparrow from the shoot and we have more from all the characters to follow soon!

Last week Zoe & Joe tied the knot at Horwood House in Milton Keynes. It was the first wedding I’ve seen in a long time where the ceremony has been held outdoors! The ceremony was lovely and even the weather held off. The whole day ran so smoothly and it was clear that Zoe and Joe had a fabulous time! I found the guests were all lovely and 3 little girls seemed to love one of my catch phrases so much they were repeating it all day…. and all night! There were some hilarious moments during the speeches that even got me laughing and a photo to follow up one of those moments that the groom has no idea is coming! All in all there were some magical moments and below is one example of this fantastic wedding. I cannot wait to return the rest of this couples photos too them so stay tuned to Lunar on Facebook or the website to see more coming soon!

Lets all toast to this amazing couple, the new Mr & Mrs Dodson!

Last friday the gorgeous Poppy marry Johne Gee and I was honoured to be asked to capture what turned out to be a spectacular, and eventful wedding! I was joined on this shoot by Rob from rob and bekki photography Its not uncommon to have a wedding not go quite according to plan and this one was no exception. With 45mins to go there were issues with the dress at the house but with the help of the bridesmaids Poppy made it to the church! There was even a break in the weather after the ceremony for the location shoot at some local ruins! But the second we finished at the ruins the heavens opened up and boy did it rain…. and Rob and I were 5 minutes from the car. With no cover we ran like the wind but still got completely soaked! We were not worried about our camera’s as they were all ‘meant’ to be weather sealed. Not long after we got to the reception venue though both myself and Rob started having camera problems, but despite this, the show must go on and we managed to pull together and keep those camera’s clicking! But all these moments add up to create that story that is ‘their’ wedding day and they will remember these events for the rest of their lives!

Issues aside, the wedding was a ‘storm’ (pardon the pun). The cake was made by a good friend of Poppy and was truly amazing! Both Poppy and Johne looked amazing and so did the bridesmaids. Both Rob, myself and the 2 videographers all commented on how wonderfully happy, smiley and full of laughter the guests were! Myself and Rob had a great day and i have no doubt that Poppy and Johne had a phenomenal day!

So please raise a glass for the new Mr & Mrs Gee
