Around the Blog

Oh! Hello, THere!
WELCOME TO,

The Blog

A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine.

Berkshire Wedding ~ Calcot Hotel

When I was asked to photograph Rebecca and Lucian’s wedding I was delighted. This wonderful mix of English, Romanian and Italian guests made for a wonderful cocktail of nations who despite not being able to speak many of their languages were still all warm and welcoming to each other and myself! With Rebecca’s two super fun and energetic bridesmaids ‘Emma & Loiuse’ to help get Rebecca ready and ensure that nothing went wrong, the day went smoothly. After a warm welcoming from Rebecca’s parents we got down to the bridal prep. I’d like to thank Daphne & Stuart for the endless offerings off coffee and food throughout the morning! After a seamless morning getting Rebecca ready we made our way to the nearby Holy Trinity Church near Reading. There I met up with Lucian and the rest of his family! The service was wonderful with a live choir and plenty of colourful ‘feel good’ songs sang. After they tied the knot we travelled to the nearby Calcot Hotel for the reception. The hotel put on a lovely spread and decorated the room in the most amazing way. There were so many touching moments such as the first dance between Rebecca and her dad and the speeches made in multiple languages. I couldn’t possibly go into them all.

I’d like to thank Vasile as well for offering me a drink in the evening and for everyone else who made me feel welcome!
Please raise a glass for the new Mr & Mrs Obreja!
