This was a wedding where fate played into the bride, groom and my own hands! Last Saturday morning I received a phone call around 9am from a photographer friend who had just seen a Facebook post go up on a group where by a bride (due to get married later that day) had their photographer call in sick! She was desperately looking for a replacement photographer! My photographer friend was unable to take the job herself as she already had a wedding that day but she knew I was free, well mostly. But regardless she had put my name and number forward. Around 10minutes later I get a phone call from the bride asking me if I can cover the day. After getting some details from her I realised that I was able to cover her day despite having a portrait shoot that morning in Reading! The Swan at Streatley was where her wedding was at and I was able to continue my journey north after the portrait shoot and make it in time for her wedding! Thank god my camera gear was mostly charged as I was only expecting a small portrait shoot that day!
I am so glad that fate worked in our favour that day as what a venue and what a group of people! The bride and groom were stunning and so was the venue. They had an amazing turn out of over 100 lovely friends and family and we had fun from the off! Check out some of the images of this ‘Super Fun’ couple! I love weddings like this and I was constantly being told I’m a hero for making it to their day by the couple and guests! I’m no hero, I was just in the right place at the right time and was able to squeeze them into my day! I love helping people out like this and they didn’t deserve to have their day ruined or have any added stress.
Congratulations to this amazing couple!
